Revision THR after periprosthetic femoral fractures. An analysis of 23 cases.

摘要: 23 consecutive proximal femoral fractures in 22 patients, who had previously undergone total hip arthroplasty, were treated with long revision stems. At the time of fracture, 21 stems loose. An uncemented Wagner stem was used 9 cases and different conventional others. All healed, but 7 implants rapidly loosened again, whereas so far none have loosened.
