摘要: This is the first report on use of photodynamic therapy (PDT) for rat pituitary tumor in vivo. Rat (GH3) cells were cultured, GH3 was subcutaneously implanted nude mice, and pheophorbide-a (Ph-a) white light prepared. Photocytotoxicity proportional to Ph-a concentration, intensity irradiation, incubation time observed vitro. Despite delay disappearance from tumor, gland rapidly decreased after intravenous administration Through PDT, grossly disappeared, plasma levels growth hormone secreted also remarkably decreased, development giantism inhibited. These results indicate that PDT effective against tumor.
