摘要: The records of 49 patients with glomus jugulare tumor seen at the University Virginia from 1932 to 1985 were retrospectively reviewed objective assessing long-term results treatment. Follow-up ranged 5 31 years, a minimum 10 years in 36 (73%). According McCabe's classification, 17 (35%) Group I, 11 (22%) II, and 21 (43%) III. Analysis by therapeutic technique revealed that 20 received surgery alone (41%), 15 radiation therapy (31%), 14 combined (28%). Only 7 (14%) have had clinical or radiologic evidence disease progression. Three these treated three combination radiation, but dose was less than 4000 cGy. one patient excess cGy demonstrated Salvage given seven when progressive detected. Radiation is an effective treatment for minimal late progression adequately no significant complications.
