摘要: Reproductive management of male donkeys employed for artificial breeding has been poorly studied. The aim this study was to evaluate the effect housing system, with animals grouped together in a paddock or kept individual boxes, on sexual behaviour, cortisol and testosterone concentration seminal characteristics adult donkeys. included four Amiata donkey jacks (stallions) from which ejaculates, saliva blood were collected during two distinct 3 weeks periods, one group box system. Time needed semen collection shorter when paddocks compared they single boxes (14:57 ± 07:27 20:52 ± 09:31 min, p < .05). Native not influenced by while cooled preservation an Equitainer® showed that sperm motility parameters significantly higher period period. Salivary both before 60 min after ejaculation, being statistically housed paddocks. On contrary, overall basal concentrations boxes. In conclusion, present study, good quality could be successfully irrespective system despite some differences hormone concentrations.
