摘要: Small cell carcinoma of the endometrium (SCCE) is extremely rare. Previous reports indicate that SCCE frequently shows systemic spread and has a poor prognosis. Beta-catenin been shown to be key downstream effector Wnt signaling pathway, which regulates growth survival. Decreased membranous expression beta-catenin in cancers correlates with prognosis associated dissemination tumor cells formation metastases. Recently, some different investigators demonstrated aberrant accumulation neuroendocrine tumors arising organs, suggesting role for Wnt/beta-catenin pathway during tumorigenesis. Here, we report new case peritoneal spreading aggressive course; patient died one month after surgery. This study also aimed at assessing involvement this rare tumor. Interestingly, both intense nuclear cyclin D1 immunoreactivity were restricted invading lymphatic vessels. However, mutation analysis failed demonstrate any exon 3 gene or 15 APC present case. Although mechanism still unknown, heterotopic localization may play invasion process and, subsequently, behavior SCCE.
