摘要: Small-cell carcinoma of the endometrium is a rare neoplasm, and its aggressive behavior has been reported. We report case small-cell occurring primarily in 62-year-old woman with postmenopausal vaginal bleeding lower abdominal pain. The excised uterus showed necrotic polypoid mass histologically displayed an endometrial carcinoma. Immuno-histochemically, tumor cells were positive for cytokeratin, epithelial membrane antigen, neuron-specific enolase, chromogranin, but negative leukocyte common antigen Grimelius stain. Ultrastructural analysis revealed presence dense core granules cytoplasm cells. patient died 2 months after surgery because tumor. wish to distinguish from conventional tumors endometrium, former's distinctive histopathologic, immunohistochemical, ultrastructural characteristics.
