摘要: Cancers are often associated with mutations in multiple genes; thus, studying the distributions of genes that harbor cancer-promoting cancer samples and their co-occurrences could provide insights into diagnostics treatment. Using data from Catalogue Somatic Mutations Cancer (COSMIC), we found mutated followed a power-law distribution. For instance, few were large number (designated as high-frequent genes), while only samples. This distribution can be all types well individual cancers. In where two or more found, genes, i.e., those frequently mutated, did not co-occur other tended to co-occur. Co-occurrences unique certain cancer; however, some shared by types. Our results revealed distinct patterns less-frequently co-occurring anti-co-occurring networks. indicated treatment strategies should adopted for patients known gene without. The latter might better treated combination drugs targeting genes. also suggested possible cross-cancer treatments, use same drug combinations, may treat cancers different histological origins.
