摘要: More than 40 years ago, Hurst (1932), Rivers et al. (1933), and Schwentker (1935) were among the first to observe that repeated injections of a homogenate brain tissue into animals could, after time, induce kind disseminated encephalomyelitis in some injected animals. The study this experimental disorder was greatly simplified when Kabat (1946, 1947), Morgan Freund (1947) found induction disease markedly facilitated if emulsified mineral oil containing mycobacteria—i.e., Freund’s complete adjuvant or FCA—one single injection then being sufficient.
