摘要: Abstract We recorded four measures of mother-young association and the percentage time young spent lying during first week after birth for 59 pairs belonging to 22 species seven families ungulates. The were positively correlated with each other negatively lying. Three cluster analyses, based on various combinations measures, separated bovids into two groups recognizable as ‘followers’ ‘hiders’. When data all considered, five consistent occurred in three analyses. traditional follower-hider dichotomy provides a rough characterization relationships many ungulates, but does not adequately describe behavioural variation present. By using standardized quantitative we able characterize this establish framework future study.
