摘要: The 5S rRNA genes of Neurospora crassa, unlike those most organisms, are not tandemly arranged, and they found imbedded in a variety unique sequences. regions the one type, alpha; however, several other "isotypes" (beta, gamma, delta, zeta, eta) also found. We asked whether dispersed on chromosomal scale different isotypes spatially segregated. identified, by DNA sequencing, 22 clones, we mapped these conventional crosses using restriction fragment length polymorphisms their flanking sequences as genetic markers. results show that distributed at least six seven chromosomes. Their location does appear to be completely random. Some them closely linked. One chromosomes carries disproportionate number common structural another chromosome three four beta genes. None studied maps close nucleolus organizer, site code for larger rRNAs.
