摘要: Sub-10 nm gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) have attracted extensive attention for different biomedical applications because of their small size. However, the influence NPs on differentiation human bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) is unclear. In this study, 4 Au (Au4-mPEG were synthesized to investigate osteogenic and adipogenic hMSCs 40-nm counterparts (Au40-mPEG used comparison. Different from Au40-mPEG NPs, Au4-mPEG reduced ALP activity, calcium deposition marker gene expression, while increased oil droplet formation expression in hMSCs. The mechanism study indicated that NP treatment did not affect cellular mechanical property significantly but induced a high level reactive oxygen species (ROS). results provide some insights into sub-10 cell functions these particles tissue engineering.
