摘要: SUMMARY This study evaluated the effectiveness of bleach, Surface Decontamination Foam (SDF), and Virkon® in inactivating infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) Newcastle (NDV) at temperatures below 0 C. To simulate influence organic load on disinfectants, as would be encountered disinfecting farm vehicles equipment, viruses were suspended preparations containing light or heavy levels matter. A small volume viral suspension was applied to upper surface stainless steel carrier disks these then air dried. The dried inoculum covered with disinfectant which propylene glycol had been added prevent freezing. incubated various for periods up 24 hr. With NDV, −10 C all three disinfectants both achieved a 5 log 10 reduction within 5 min. Results SDF similar −25 −10 C. achieve comparable Virkon bleach −25 ...
