摘要: The efficacy of copper and its complexes to control or reverse inflammation hinges on a unique ability interact with specific target enzymes in the afflicted tissues. One such enzyme is lysyl oxidase. This copper-metalloenzyme plays key role maturation connective tissue proteins. catalyzes formation crosslinking compounds that bind together peptide chains collagen elastin so doing impart both support elastic properties extracellular matrix. Lysyl oxidase activity controlled by copper. present paper summarizes studies have led our understanding oxidase, focusing especially function catalysis regulation activity.
