摘要: Abstract Odour nuisance arising from piggery slurry can be prevented by aeration. The stability of aerobically treated slurry, which is free offensive odours, increases as the dry matter decreases. This paper investigates performance a decanting centrifuge one means achieving lower in slurry. Slurry was centrifuged to show effects various operating conditions; 61% total solids were removed 8% content wet basis (d.m.) form fibrous 27% d.m. and 43% 2% 30% When raw had d.m., centrifuging reduced volume needed for liquid storage 17%. A particle size analysis remained showed that 98% less than 0·020 mm diameter. agrees with predicted maximum left liquid. Centrifuged dilute contained only 4% particles greater diameter 0·012 mm.
