β-Catenin, its Binding Partners and Signalling Mechanisms: Implications in Prostate Cancer

摘要: β-catenin is a cytoplasmic protein that has been well documented in recent years by number of investigators. It now firmly established plays dual role through its function facilitating intercellular adhesion binding to E-cadherin, and also for key as mediator the Wnt signal transduction pathway. This chapter summarises some scientific clinical advances made during last decade on molecular cellular functions β-catenin, including signalling, adherence junction assembly impact prostate cancer progression.
