摘要: Designing an optimal groundwater level monitoring network (GLMN) is a major challenge and one of the primary goals management. This paper proposes methodology that incorporates comparative analysis IDW, spline, ordinary kriging (OKrig), empirical Bayesian (EBK) interpolation methods with “1-fold cross-validation” technique for regionalization redesigning existing GLMN in arid hardrock-alluvium Al-Buraimi region, Oman-UAE border. The performance indicators (weighted RMSE = 10.84 m weighted R2 0.79) show superiority EBK method over other reveal reasonably accurate results when applied areas sparse scarce observation wells. A new proposed regard to which idea “secondary network” presented reduce time cost needed measurements. consists 14 wells added 39 order provide better quality data compared current GLMN. procedure used herein provides practical straightforward regionalize variations redesign regions complex geological setting.
