摘要: Background Pink bollworm (Pectinophora gossypiella) is a destructive insect pest of cotton crops in China and globally, which actively predated on by Orius strigicollis. Studies the fitness or survival O. strigicollis fed P. gossypiella at different temperatures have not been reported. The may be well explained using two-sex life table parameters. Thus, present study provides important insights for effective biocontrol gossypiella. Methodology Considering importance parameters biocontrol, explores feeding potential age-stage, traits eggs (24, 28 32 °C) laboratory. Results intrinsic rate increase (r) was higher °C (0.14 d-1) than 24 (0.0052 (0.12 d-1). Similarly, net reproductive (R 0) (17.63 offspring) (1.13 (10.23 offspring). This concluded that maximum growth capacity could attained when eggs. adults preferred to feed compared with first instar larvae. Based these results, suggests represents promising biological control agent against fields.
