摘要: This article addresses the question of what makes democratic political organization and capitalist economic mutually compatible on macro-sociological level, has, more specifically, led to absence manifest tension between those two organizing principles in post-World War II era Western Europe. A hypothetical answer is provided, namely that mass participation through a competitive party system democracy safe for capitalism Keynesianism welfare state democracy. The extent which one can expect continuity arrangements under conditions crisis then explored theoretical level. As skeptical this question, number factors are systematically discussed seem subvert both competition as dominant mode welfare-Keynesianism prevalent policy.
