摘要: Backgrounds and Objectives Photodynamic therapy (PDT), via topical aminolevulinic acid (ALA) is an effective treatment for basal cell carcinomas not exceeding a depth of 2 mm. This limits the carcinoma (non-melanoma skin cancer) to superficial forms nodular (only in aesthetically desired locations). paper addresses effectiveness reducing tumor mass initial Er:YAG laser ablation depths that are therapeutically responsive PDT with ALA. Study Design/Materials Methods This study compared three methods recurring (r nBCC). Method A utilized application ALA methyl ester, method B solitary ablation, C combined size below mm (method B) subsequent ester A). All were used treat each patient, all subjects presenting or more order eliminate differences patient responsiveness treatment. Patients monitored interviewed at 3, 6, 12 month intervals examine progress elimination, aesthetic results as well patient's preference method. In all, 286 patients treated, whom 194 checked prescribed then evaluated. Results Statistically, combination demonstrated most time intervals, final efficacy 98.97% versus 94.85% (PDT only) 91.75% (Er:YAG only). The also provided best (scale: 1—best; 4—worst) 1.23±1.23, 1.67±0.76 1.83±0.95 only). Conclusions Although 67% preferred over (20%) (13%), because simplicity treatment, has proven be both clinically superior. Solitary will remain however fast, effective, economical alternative simple manifestations replaced uncomplicated cases our facility. ALA–PDT aspires choice BCC. Lesers Surg.
