摘要: THE observation of Woods1, that the anti-bacterial activity sulphanilamide is inhibited by p-amino-benzoic acid, has been followed from time to observations recording a similar anti-sulphanilamide action for other compounds chemically unrelated p-aminobenzoic acid. Thus Harris and Kohn2 have shown dl-methionine antagonizes action. Martin Fisher3 reported adenine possesses in mice infected with streptococci comparable possessed Snell Mitchell4 found adenine, guanine, xanthine hypoxanthine, as well dl-methionine, reversed bacteriostasis certain lactic acid bacteria, although results were largely dependent on particular organism conditions employed. Anti-sulphanilamide also demonstrated urethane5.
