摘要: In the present study, we observed neurogenic effects of an aqueous extract from root Platycodon grandiflorum (EPG) in middle-aged (12-month-old) mice. For this, 100mg/kg EPG was administered orally to mice for 30 days before sacrifice and 5-bromodeoxyguanosine (BrdU) injected intraperitoneally every 8h 24h on day prior sacrifice. The increase neurogenesis estimated by immunohistochemical staining cellular proliferation markers (BrdU Ki67) a marker neuroblasts (Doublecortin, DCX). These were detected subgranular zone dentate gyrus vehicle- EPG-treated groups. number BrdU-, Ki67- DCX-positive cells group significantly increased compared that vehicle-treated group. addition, showed well-developed processes. results suggest is repeated treatment
