摘要: The action of diethylnitrosamine (DENA) was tested on pregnant golden hamsters. After administration doses totaling 0.002–0.014 gm (daily dose, 0.002 gm) during pregnancy, the young were examined at various intervals after birth. At 25 weeks birth, 42% animals exhibited tracheal papilloma, some multiple. Of treated mothers, 73% developed again partly multiple, 1st drug. Within same interval, 88% and 71% mothers showed alterations liver with varying changes in parenchymal structure. When newborn hamsters from untreated exchanged, only papilloma. passage DENA through placenta intracardial injection drug proved by thin-layer chromatography. resulting injury to (cirrhosis) is also revealed reduced incorporation 32P.
