摘要: Inflammatory mediators such as tumor necrosis factor (TNF) and interleukin-1 enhance colony formation in different models of experimental spontaneous metastasis. The involvement the natural killer (NK) cell system this process was investigated. Tumor does not appear to act directly on cells by reducing their susceptibility cytotoxic action NK but rather impairs activity tumor-bearing mice. Such impairment might be one means which TNF supports formation. Even though metastasis-enhancing effect remained detectable mice have a greatly reduced due defect bg locus, normal were depleted antibody treatment did show enhanced metastasis after injection. Therefore, TNF-enhanced can only seen long some function is operating animals. © 1996 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
