摘要: Density is one of the most prominent measures for road quality. Often nuclear density measurements are taken during compaction operations. It expected that layer will reach specified properties if asphalt mixture compacted within a desired temperature window. But what happens when process undertaken outside this ideal “temperature window opportunity”? This paper deals with these questions and proposes method to determine optimal time frames compact hot-mix asphalt. demonstrates procedure by determining influence on mechanical properties. The research project combined literature review, laboratory-experiments, data-collection construction project. In laboratory Roller Sector Compactor was used 24 slabs at four different windows were verified ITS-test (indirect tensile strength) CC-test (cyclic compression). On project, three lanes windows. Paver roller movements tracked high resolution GPS-technology measured infraredcameras, thermocouples an infrared laserlinescanner. results study show while similar densities can be reached all windows, other such as strength fracture toughness may suffer. means in quality control it not sufficient only check steer density, but also representative should into account.
