摘要: Cervical cancer remains persistently the second most common malignancies among women worldwide, responsible for 500,000 new cases annually. Only in Brazil, estimate is 18,430 2011. Several types of molecular markers have been studied carcinogenesis including proteins associated with apoptosis such as BAG-1 and PARP-1. This study aims to demonstrate expression PARP-1 patients low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSILs), high-grade (HSILs) invasive cell carcinomas (SCCs) uterine cervix verify a possible association HPV infection. Fifty samples LSILs, 50 HSILs SCCs were analyzed by immunohistochemistry expression. PCR was performed detect type DNA. levels significantly different between LSILs (p = 0,014) 0,014). In regards expression, we found significant differences 0,022). No presence HPV. However, positivity group 0,021). conclusion our research suggests that could contribute differentiation LSIL HSIL/SCC whereas be useful HSIL HPV-related SCC. Further studies are needed clarify aspects relationship infection, potential applications cervical prediction.
