摘要: Cutaneous vasculitis commonly presents as palpable purpura, and the late stages may become nodular, bullous, infarcted ulcerated. Involvement of sweat glands in vasculitic lesions has not been previously described. In a detailed study 48 cases non-infarcted cutaneous vasculitis, 18 (36%) revealed morphologically abnormal glands. Basal cell degeneration, necrosis, regeneration basal hyperplasia were found excretory ducts. Necrosis secretory gland was seen either apoptosis involving clear cells or whole necrosis both types. This unusual feature only described association with coma, due to barbiturate carbon monoxide poisoning. Its presence adds support hypoxia/ischaemia hypothesis. The functional impact such widespread vasculitides requires further study.
