摘要: The effect of wollastonite nanofibers (NW) on biological resistance medium-density fiberboards (MDF) made from wood and chicken-feather fibers (CF) against Antrodia vaillantii was studied. NW content 10 % CF 5 %, based the dry weight fibers, were applied to MDF matrix, giving a total six different mixing treatments. Mass loss values measured roughly following EN 113 specifications. results showed that significantly decreased mass considerable extent in all ratios, proving its potential be used as suitable preservative wood-composite materials without environmental hazards. A improving effects resistance, while too high resulted weak MDF-matrix; eventually did not improve properly. ameliorated part undesirable adding chicken feather MDF-matrix. correlation found between versus water absorption (R2 81 %), implying penetration fungal hyphae can have rather similar patterns. It concluded only fungi attack, but it also reduce some properties feathers, thus providing reliable renewable resource for natural manufacturing industry.
