摘要: Abstract A method is described for cultivating the seaweed, Gracilaria chilensis Bird, McLachlan et Oliveira (formerly G. sordida W.A. Nelson) on land under a seawater spray. The growth rates (mean relative rate of around 1.4%/day) and estimated dry matter yields (1.8–16.0 t weight/ha/yr) were similar to range published in other studies seaweed spray culture, no greater (often less) than conventional immersed cultures. main advantage system was that thalli remained relatively free algal epiphytes.
