摘要: Although the development of super-resolution microscopy methods dates back to 1994, relevant applications in plant cell imaging only started emerge 2010. Since then, principal methods, including structured-illumination (SIM), photoactivation localization (PALM), stochastic optical reconstruction (STORM), and stimulated emission depletion (STED), have been implemented research. However, progress has limited due challenging properties material. Here we summarize basic principles existing provide examples science. The limitations imposed by nature material are reviewed potential for future is highlighted.
