摘要: Microorganisms play a major role in the initiation and perpetuation of pulpal periapical disease. In order to predictably achieve bacteria-free root canal system, it is necessary use intracanal medicaments. Calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)(2)] most common It effective against primary infections. However, its effectiveness Enterococcus (E.) faecalis Candida (C.) albicans controversial. On other hand, chlorhexidine (CHX) potent agent E. C. albicans. For this reason, combination Ca(OH)(2) CHX has been suggested as an medicament. The purpose article was review antimicrobial efficacy Ca(OH)(2), well their combination.
