摘要: Background Candida albicans is the most pathogenic Candida species but shares many phenotypic features with dubliniensis and may, therefore, be misidentified in clinical microbiology laboratories. Candidemia cases due to C. are increasingly being reported recent years. Accurate identification warranted since mortality rates highest for infections, however, has propensity develop resistance against azoles more easily. We developed a duplex PCR assay rapid detection differentiation of from resource-poor settings equipped basic technology compared its performance three methods.
