Morphometric and ultrastructural analyses of melanocytes, nevus cells, and melanoma cells.

摘要: Cytological atypia, revealed in the course of routine light microscopy, is considered a valuable indicator malignancy melanocytic lesions. A clear definition term cytological however, lacking. Therefore, by morphometric analysis ultrathin sections 11 malignant melanomas (7 invasive, 3 situ, and 1 lentigo maligna melanoma) 10 compound nevi, we evaluated discriminating power various facets i.e., nuclear area, area nucleolus, total cell, irregularity. In each case, at least 50 intraepidermal cells were examined. The two-sided U-test showed significant differences between nevus melanoma cells, with regard to mean values (mean) standard deviations (s) (mean s, p = 0.00011), nucleolus (mean, 0.00043; cell 0.00011; 0.00093). However, only allowed distinction individual case. nucleus can be estimated histology. We therefore think that size variation should histological differential diagnosis benign nevi.
