摘要: This study investigated the proliferation and differentiation of adult neural progenitor cells (aNPCs) derived from striatum substantia nigra (SN) parkinsonian rats. We found that aNPCs isolated two areas rats readily formed nestin-enriched neurospheres in vitro exhibited an ability to differentiate into either neurons or astrocytes. Injection epidermal growth factor (EGF) basic fibroblast (bFGF) prior harvesting striatal significantly increased neurosphere formation rate multiple capacity these when cultured vitro. These data suggest nigral NPCs retain abilities In addition, exogenously applied factors could up-regulate developmental potential aNPCs. conclude our supports notion endogenous cell replacement therapies may be useful for future treatment Parkinson's disease (PD).
