摘要: A method based on profiling of dye components by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI/MS) is described for the characterization ballpoint pen inks. The involves benzyl alcohol (30 microL) extraction ink from paper. extracts lines 1 and 5 mm in length are used direct ESI/MS analysis positive negative modes, respectively. instrumental takes 3 min. Basic acid dyes inks detected respectively, with each yielding one or two characteristic ion peaks. spectrum, which mainly a compositional signature ink, was not affected type paper extracted, natural ageing document absence light. However, exposure to fluorescent illumination caused dealkylation polyalkylated basic resulted changes homologous distribution dyes. In this study, total 44 blue inks, 23 black 10 red have been analyzed, spectra were establish searchable library. provides simple fast way compare specimens combination on-line library search permits rapid screening forensic investigations.
