摘要: Abuse of antibiotics is an increasing commonly feature in the media. Widespread preventive use without diagnostics meat calf husbandry a major public health concern. In this study, we compare “trial and error” method, comprising first choice antibiotic, followed by second third (as recommended WHO), with method which utilizes antibiotic resistance test to identify best out first, or alternatives using decision tree analysis. Data were collected from farms known herd problem along antibiograms those herds. Samples analysed for against pneumonia on level, rather than specific antibiotics. Resistance tests performed batch samples composed at least three diseased animals. A deep nasal swap was taken. swaps only ++ +++ growth all 3 used diagnosis. Other bacteria considered as contamination. comparison rates across range between diarrhoea issues performed. The analysis presented provides strong support favour evidence-based approach antimicrobial treatment test, providing advantage 58% per giving financial gain some CHF 320.09 under Swiss economic circumstances.
