摘要: We analyzed patterns of species richness and endemicity in the avifauna western Mexico from northern Sonora to southeastern Chiapas. The region was subdivided 24 transects as study units, analyses were performed using point data obtained scientific collections bibliography, helped by use a GIS. For recognition general biogeographic regionalization we used two analyses: Parsimony Analysis Endemicity (PAE), faunal congruence curves, along with an alternative level taxonomy. A total 783 landbird recorded, 157 which are endemic. Results suggest increase north south higher concentration endemism middle region. Faunal PAE presence three main avifaunal groupings: Oaxaca Chiapas east Isthmus Tehuantepec, Jalisco, central Jalisco west Isthmus, well
