摘要: SUMMARY Biodiversity information is not presently managed in a manner that enables or encourages broad, efficient, novel uses. New technologies permit integration of biodiversity stored at institutions worldwide into single facility, however, have the potential to change this situation. Information integrated from diverse and available quantity greatly empowers diversity products amply demonstrate importance resource. We discuss promise opportunity, as well impediments assembling global distributed network—effectively ‘world museum’, built world’s all freely openly.
