摘要: Abstract The objectives of the current study were as follows: 1) to evaluate blood flow in uterine (UA) and umbilical (Uma) arteries pregnant capuchin monkeys by measuring resistive index (RI) pulsatility (PI); 2) determine presence or absence early diastolic notch UA Uma waveforms, respectively; 3) perform conceptus echobiometry for fetal growth assessment during pregnancy; 4) describe moment that organs initially observed; 5) when diagnosis gender is possible. Seven healthy, sexually mature female Sapajus apella examined Weeks -20 -1 before whelping (whelping Week 0). Triplex Doppler was used assess heart rate, B-mode ultrasonography measurements, including gestational sac latero-lateral longitudinal (LLL) transversal (LLT), crown rump length (CRL), biparietal diameter (BPD), occipito-frontal (OFD), head circumference (HC), abdominal (AC), femur (FL) organ. All pregnancies ended with a normal birth live newborn. Prior whelping, all dimensions increased significantly, whereas RI PI both decreased significantly. For UA, (mean ± SEM) 0.835 ± 0.017 2.157 ± 0.129, 0.808 ± 0.008 1.920 ± 0.041, 0.761 ± 0.006 1.759 ± 0.036 on periods -3, -2 -1, respectively.
