Investigating upper Mesopotamian households using micro-archaeological techniques

摘要: Lynn Rainville's revised thesis uses 'micro-debris analyis' to investigate aspects of domestic life in three Early Bronze Age sites, two urban and one rural, southeastern Turkey. More than 370 micro-debris samples (objects under 10 mm size) taken from these Titri Hoyuek, Kazane Hoyuek Tilbes are analysed as Rainville tests the application this approach for revealing daily activities settlements. What she concludes is that studying large, macro finds features not sufficient it only through recovering analysing micro-archaeology, tandem with finds, we can begin detailed, multiple, going on within sites.
