摘要: It is now widely accepted that genes play a significant role in the development of human obesity. The mapping contributing to obesity and regional fat distribution humans based on association linkage studies. This article presents review these studies for phenotypes related excess body mass or distribution. various are first defined followed by brief description methods. early red blood cell genetic polymorphisms reviewed which have reported evidence described. Studies with negative findings not reviewed. Results suggest total 28 chromosomal regions may be associated and/or linked human. With genomewide searches actually under way, together 16,000 transcripts included recent gene map, this number likely increase rapidly next few years.
