摘要: In this paper, we show that a graphene quantum disk (GQD) can be generated on monolayer via structural modification using the electron beam. The electronic structure and local optical responses of GQD, supported graphene, were probed with energy-loss spectrum imaging an aberration-corrected scanning transmission microscope. We observe for small ~1.3 nm in diameter, response are governed by dominating edge states, distinctly different from either or double-layer graphene. Highly localized plasmon modes at GQD due to confinement all directions. highly GQDs could find use designing nanoscale optoelectronic plasmonic devices based
