摘要: Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) affects at least 25% of the general adult population worldwide. Because only a fraction patients would develop liver-related complications, it is preferable to perform non-invasive tests as initial assessment. This review summarizes known and potential confounding factors that affect performance hepatic steatosis fibrosis in with NAFLD. Clinicians may apply knowledge exercise caution selecting investigations interpreting test results when are present.
