摘要: Abstract Thick ceramic coatings were prepared on zirconium alloy by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) in silicate electrolyte. Their microstructure and phase constituent analyzed. The micromechanical properties of a thick coating are measured nanoindentation method. electrochemical corrosion behaviors the evaluated potentiodynamic polarization. consists monoclinic ZrO 2 tetragonal , but content is much lower than content. In inner layer coating, nanohardness elastic modulus higher that Zr substrate, their maximum values reach 7.4 GPa 170 GPa, respectively. However, substrate when distance far from coating/Zr interface. After PEO treatment, potential moves to more positive potential, current density reduces several orders magnitude. increases again while very thick. an effective method improve resistance zirconium, especially for pitting attack.
