摘要: An increasing body of evidence suggests deep brain stimulation (DBS) is a therapeutic alternative in the treatment otherwise therapy-resistant obsessive–compulsive disorders (OCD). inconsistency demonstration beneficial effects, however, indicates that optimal DBS parameters and sites for OCD have not been found yet. This chapter summarizes animal experimental studies using as an investigative tool to systematically map regions at which affects symptoms specific draw conclusions on (patho-)physiological activity areas investigated course symptom manifestation reduction. Furthermore, discusses translational validity such approaches well their contribution further promote establishment patients with psychiatric disorders, OCD.
