摘要: The blood pressure response to the administration of epinephrine-containing local anesthetics was studied prospectively in ten patients taking propranolol and control patients. While no significant alteration documented for propranolol, pressures group tended decrease following injection anesthetic. variation between two groups statistically represents a mild manifestation blockade beta-2 receptors vascular beds from propranolol. uncommon occurrence malignant hypertensive propranolol-epinephrine reaction is probably dose-related, somewhat idiosyncratic sensitivity peripheral vasculature alphapressor effect epinephrine unmasked by beta receptors. risk this catastrophic event must be weighed against precipitating myocardial ischemic too rapid an dosage.
