摘要: Provided herein are apparatus and methods relating to the development of instrumentation for high throughput network electrophysiology cellular analysis. More specifically, provided multiwell microelectrode arrays (MEAs) such an in inexpensive fashion with a flexible, ANSI/SBS-compliant (American National Standards Institute/Society Biomolecular Screening) format. Microelectrode grid tightly spaced microelectrodes useful stimulating sensing electrically active cells, networks tissue. The techniques described relate use microfabrication combination certain large-area processes that have been employed achieve MEAs culture well formats, which also transparent inverted/backside microscopy compatibility. These can be used investigate two three-dimensional cells tissue as cardiac, neural, muscular fashion. Also being ANSI/SBS-compliant, they compatible machinery robotics developed pharmaceutical industry drug screening applications.
