摘要: Two experiments were conducted to evaluate the fermentation characteristics of ensiled wet corn distillers grains with solubles (WDG) alone or mixed soybean hulls (SH) and ability mixture maintain growth performance in dairy heifers. The first experiment was an ensiling study using laboratory silos. Ensiled blends 100% WDG, 85% WDG 15% SH, 70% 30% SH on as-fed basis. Silos opened for analysis d 0, 3, 7, 21. pH less compared other treatments (P < 0.01), but all had a near 4. Lactic acid concentration greater 0.01). Acetic not found increased over time 2 Other differences between blends, such as DM, CP, ammonia N, fiber, fat, reflective different concentrations blends. In second experiment, (as-fed) blend silo bag then evaluated feed growing heifer diets. Twenty-four heifers used randomized complete block design assigned be fed 1 3 diets: 1) control, 2) low inclusion WDGSH, 3) high WDGSH. All treatment diets consisted 50% brome grass hay DM control diet (DM basis) grain mix, which composed corn, meal, minerals. WDGSH contained 24.4% 25.6% mix. 48.7% 1.3% mineral Average daily gain most body measures similar among treatments. However, DMI decreased linearly 0.01) fed, resulting improved = 0.02) G:F. Results from these indicated that can effectively sustain adequate rate when
