摘要: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a spiral shaped bacterium that resides in the stomach mucosa. Isolation of H. from mucosa changed erstwhile widely held belief contains no bacteria and actually sterile. Once safely ensconced mucus, it able to neutralize acid by elaborating an enzyme called urease. Urease converts urea, which there abundant supply (derived saliva gastric juice), into bicarbonate ammonia, are strong bases. These bases form cloud acidneutralizing chemicals vicinity organisms, protecting them stomach. This urea hydrolysis reaction utilized for diagnosis infection breath test (UBT) rapid urease (RUT). In Japan, both invasive tests, such as bacterial culture, histopathology RUT, non-invasive tests UBT serology conducted infection. For confirming results eradication therapy, considered be most sensitive specific. order treat infection, new one-week triple therapy regimen (lansoprazole or omeprazole + amoxicillin clarithromycin) has been approved use patients with peptic ulcer disease Japan. As case other diseases implicated (e.g., chronic atrophic gastritis, MALT lymphoma, cancer, non-ulcer dyspepsia, urticaria, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)), further basic clinical investigation required.
