摘要: Galling insects may represent an excellent tool to evaluate habitat quality and restoration. We used galling insect species richness the success of a project on reforestation in Atlantic Forest area southeastern Brazil. selected 18 study sites from three distinct environments under succession: early stage (3-5 years old abandoned pasture), intermediate (10-15 old), Myracrodruon urundeuva trees old). The highest was found sites, followed by areas stages, while M. supported lowest richness. significant difference between other two suggests that this plant negatively impacts community. Personal observations suggest allelopathic activity urundeuva, decreasing native establishment, consequently reducing associated herbivore Our results indicate were efficient tools environmental degraded Forest.
