Oral health status and behaviours of children in rural districts of Cambodia

摘要: Objective: To describe the caries and periodontal status of children in rural Cambodia to study their oral health habits. Method: Field examinations were conducted Pailin, Kampong Thom Kratie which are three districts Cambodia. Children aged 6 12 selected for report primary permanent teeth respectively. The 12-year-old assessed. A parental questionnaire survey was performed children's tooth brushing habits, snacks habits diet. Results: total 120 6-year-old 196 examined. experience (dmft) 7.9±5.6. (DMFT) 1.1±1.6 all untreated (DT). None surveyed had healthy gums 62% calculus. 316 questionnaires collected. result found 44% 22% 6- 12- year-old never brushed. Their meals mainly rice, soup congee not common. Conclusion: high most untreated. a mean score 1.1 DMFT teeth. They bleeding more than half need improve as many brushed
